Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee is again entering the controversial abortion debate in the country.
On Friday afternoon, Lee fired back at a statement from Vice President Kamala Harris committing the Biden/Harris administration to ensuring access to health care, including reproductive health care, for all Americans.
The vice president's statement came on the 48th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision by the U.S. Supreme Court legalizing abortion.
"Abortion isn't healthcare," Lee tweeted in response from his official account, followed by posts soliciting donations for the Hope Clinic For Women, a faith-based women's clinic.

She desperately needed surgery to remove what remained or faced certain death, but because it was considered an abortion, no one would perform the surgery! Because they "knew" someone, she eventually had the surgery and survived, but it was close and he never forgot. These people who oppose "abortion" under any circumstances cannot know what is affecting the lives of those who they will never know and, in this woman's case, they would rather have sacrificed her life rather than perform what they considered an "abortion." Yes, it is health care.

(15,311 posts)and this jumped-up cow farmer/ HVAC company owner has no standing to opine to the contrary. He also has no business soliciting for his pet anti-choice religious non-profit from his official twitter account, and having chosen to do so he committed a further breach of ethics by failing to disclose the fact that he sits on the Hope Clinic advisory board. I am going to send a donation to Planned Parenthood in his "honor". This buffoon calls himself "pro-life' but has caused the needless deaths of thousands of Tennesseans by aligning himself with Trump's disastrous indifference to the covid crisis and repeatedly failing to order a statewide mask mandate.
