Beavers Flees Protesters, Again But Will Speak at a Pro-Trump Rally

“Senator Beavers, we’re not animals to be kept out! We’re citizens,” Jones yelled back. But she was gone.

“We’ll be back again, and we’ll keep coming back and shutting down her office until hopefully one day she’ll shut down her hatred and her bigotry," Jones told reporters. He plans to return on Wednesday morning to try again.

Later in the day, Beavers doubled down on her earlier comments in a tweet:

But Beavers seems to have no problem with non-constituents when they do agree with her. On March 4, she is supposedly one of the speakers at the so-called "Spirit of America" rally, which is hosted by Tea Party activist and talk radio host Mark Skoda. The rally is supposed to show support for Trump but it will also encourage the impeachment of federal judges — specifically, two of the judges who stayed Trump's broad-sweeping immigration order last month. Also scheduled to speak are Sen. Mark Green (R-Clarksville), who is trying to ride Trump's coattails to governor, and House Majority Leader Glen Casada (R-Thompson's Station), who said he had no idea he was supposed to speak at the event.
