Bus driver in fatal Woodmore crash faces more charges

The man arrested in connection with the Woodmore Elementary School bus crash that killed six children faces more charges after being indicted Wednesday by a Hamilton County grand jury.

Johnthony Walker, 24, was indicted on six counts of vehicular homicide, four counts of reckless aggravated assault, one count of reckless endangerment, one count of reckless driving and one count of use of a portable electronic device by a school bus driver.

He will be arraigned March 24 before Hamilton County Criminal Court Judge Don Poole.

Defense attorney Amanda Dunn said Monday during a hearing to freeze a dozen civil lawsuits against Walker that prosecutors planned to present her client's case to the grand jury this week. On Wednesday, she declined to comment on the indictment.

Those fucking things need to be off when people get behind the wheel.

Mythbusters did that one, yacking on a cell phone is at least as dangerous as driving drunk.

I went back and looked it up. He also had an earlier accident where he sidewiped a car with the bus he was driving.

and careened through it, and yelled out "Are you ready to die today " before he crashed the bus. There were a lot of parent complaints about his reckless driving previously.

This is just off the top of my head from following it when it happened.

Edited to correct quote.

Like the town trouble maker who never should have been hired to begin with. I think he had a bad driving record. I also think he wore headphones while driving the bus. Kids would come home and tell their parents but the people in charge never did anything about it.

My memory sucks on the details but I was following it on a truckers forum since my husband's a trucker.
