FM 1488 was designated on July 22, 1949 so while it was after the rise and fall of Hitler, I doubt that it was connected to any numerology or conspiracy theories. Obviously the expense to property owners to update advertising, stationery, signage, and other material with a new address would be prohibitive. If the road was renamed, it would likely be a tribute to someone.
