Yes, Beto did very well in the debate.

Yes, the undecideds in the focus group swung strongly Beto's direction after the debate, a 23 point improvement.

No, many in Texas did not watch it. High school football night, movie night, hang out with friends nigh, didn't know it was happening, dozens of reasons it wasn't watched. What most Texans will learn about the debate will be second-hand, from people who have an agenda, possibly through active disinformation.

Undecideds only swung toward Abbott by 3 points compared to Beto's 23 points – but the focus group had 40 percent for Abbott, just 27 percent for Beto and 33 percent undecided before the debate started. If we encourage people to see for themselves at a convenient time, I think it'll sway some folks.
