Election 2024 voting information

This discussion thread is pinned.

Motivation - a thread where people can post useful information about registration, voting and voting mechanics for the 2024 election in Texas (both primaries and general). Please do not post controversial items here (no campaigning). But I would think links explaining any local elections would be ok (ex: City council or other resolutions). League of Women Voters and progressive site explainers are welcome (ex: Austin Chronicle endorsements - which usually add a ton of narration).

Last day to register - MONDAY, October 7
Mail ballot application deadline - FRIDAY, October 25

Early voting starts MONDAY, October 21
Last day of Early Voting is FRIDAY, November 1

Election day is TUESDAY, November 5

CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION AT THAT URL ABOVE! In March 2024, there were 17 million registered voters, but almost 2 million of those were in suspense.
