Va. might create religious exemption allowing gun background checks without photo ID

In some of the closing gun policy action of the 2023 session, a religious exemption to photo ID rules for gun background checks is getting bipartisan support.

It's an accomodation for Mennonite and Amish communities that object to being photographed.

I have noticed the Amish in Ohio aren't all that opposed to photos as long as it brings money in from the English.

Just show up and say you’re Amish and you can get around all those pesky requirements. How will anyone know any different?
