Slowly, but surely increasing.

UVa is adding capacity as quickly as they can and taking in tests from other hospitals. Quick turn diagnostic tests (Abbott) are in the works, but the exact timing of availability is not known to me. My guess is two weeks or less if all goes well.

3 day average number of tests reported by VDH

Thursday - Saturday (3/28) 1473 with 9.7% positive (in VDH Sunday report)
Monday - Wednesday ---------831 with 6.9% positive
Friday - Sunday ---------------457 with 10.2% positive

two days prior averaged 524 tests with 7.1% positive

I don't have numbers for prior dates, but I find the approximate tripling of the number of tests done per day in little over a week encouraging.
