The line is growing outside the Alexandria Registrar’s office. Voting begins in minutes @nbcwashington

Gov Northam voted this morning...

Virginians, it's time to #Vote! My ballot is in—and if you are registered in Virginia, you can start voting TODAY.

Whether you vote absentee by mail, on #ElectionDay, or early and in person like I did, Virginians can be confident their vote is secure and will be counted.

I don't know if I'm going to vote early or wait until election day. I won't be mailing in a ballot.

Thanks for the video.

Oh. I see it's an actual voting machine, where you insert the ballot and it is scanned. Just like the experience on election day.

Maybe I'll look into it.

I'm getting my ballot through the mail, but I think I'll be dropping it off in person.

Yonnie ( ) posted this ballot tracking website the other day --> https://ballotscout.org, in which you can track when they mail your ballot all the way through the process.

I expect to receive an absentee ballot in the mail next week and will place it in a drop box at the registrar's office within a week.

I'll then check on the website to ensure it is accepted. If there is an issue, I'll have more than a month available to cure it.

I’ve voted absentee before and actually scanned in the vote. Made me feel much more certain of the vote.

Massive line of voters in Fairfax, Virginia, on the FIRST DAY of in-person early voting. Some voters say they showed up because they lost faith in USPS to deliver ballots. Officials tell CNN they've never seen anything like this on Day One.

ETA Richmond -

There may be 6+ weeks until Election Day 2020, but early voting in Virginia actually starts today — and there are dozens of voters in line to vote in person even before the building here in Richmond, VA opens

You love to see it!

Hundreds of voters line up in Virginia as the first day of early in-person voting begins in the state.

“I don't trust the mail right now,” one voter tells @KristenhCNN. “…If I got to stand here all day, I'm going to vote today.”

I won't be mailing in the actual ballot. That, I will turn in in person.
