Yard signs in Central Virginia

Although I might be the first to say "yard signs don't vote", I'd like to share what I saw today on a drive from Charlottesville to Culpeper and return.

Four years ago there were Trump signs galore on Rt. 29. On this trip instead of the hundreds we saw 20 to 30 Trump signs and about 10-15 Biden signs. Interestingly, I also saw a few Good signs without a Trump sign in sight. Afraid that Trump will jinx Good?

In Culpeper on a residential street where you would normally see Republican signs it was plastered with Biden signs and one or two lonely Trump signs. We were surprised and heartened.

the only Trump sign I’ve seen in the neighborhood. There are lots of Biden Harris signs.

That any former military person would not be repulsed by the Hump over his “Losers and Suckers” comments, in addition to his insults to McCain. I have an acquaintance, a former Marine who is all in for the Hump. I’ll never understand it.

My grandfather fought in WW1 and could have been buried in that cemetery in France. And my late father-in-law and late brother-in-law and late Cousin served in WW2 and Vietnam. The Draft Dodger Hump is not even fit to salute these brave men.

8. Totally agree. I think a lot of it relates to the "macho"

Issue. White men as a group are much more supportive of Trump than is any other demographic group. Those who support him simply don’t care about how awful he has been as a President. They like his perpetuation of the racist, sexist status quo.

Rare Senate signs.

A few very large, very similiar, trump signs on right on 29 - may be paid.

the side of the highway, intersections, etc. Or on private property in unmaintained areas. Side entrances to farms or huge properties, where they might go unnoticed by the owner for a while, in front of houses that look vacant, that sort of thing. I really think they are “unauthorized,” just some nut slapping up signs where they think they can get away with it.

Definitely seeing more Biden/Harris signs than Trump ones throughout Loudoun, Fauquier, and Clarke. Several people along 50 in Upperville have large banners, which is fantastic!

Two of my down-the-road neighbors here in Clarke put up giant Trump signs at the end of their driveways about two weeks ago. One even has flags out. I used to admire her landscaping. Ugh. Ollie North doesn’t have any signs out at his house, I keep checking every time I drive by, lol!

It was an area that was not inhabited and overgrown. The signs were at the edge of the mowed right of way. We were looking at signs at residences, so I ignored things like this.

An amusing combination of a tall FOR SALE sign behind a TRUMP 2020 sign begged for a photo, but there was nowhere to pull over.

We also saw a TRUMP-PUTIN bumper sticker.
