1. my parents both passed within the last 3 years and my dad had some dementia, some parkinsons.....

..whenever his Soc Sec check was deposited he would have my mom drive him to the bank so he could take out 2 K in cash. When time came for me to help them i found dad had over 20 K in cash in a drawer. I asked dad what he would do if someone broke in and demanded his cash. Dad said 'I would tell them NO'.... SMH! They lived way out in the country and this very scene would go thru my mind. In fact, my fathers mother was killed during a home break in. I finally talked dad into letting me put some of it in the bank....but still, even if someone desperate knows a vulnerable person has even a few bucks they're an easy target.

One year from adulthood and if 18 it would be a non-story. The murderer can probably appeal and should have the right to do so. But my sympathy is for the murdered couple’s family.
