Both were 3 to 4 hours away, so I didn't schedule.

All appointments in Charlottesville were taken before 7:30

I got started around 5am checking and was able to get on the cvs scheduling site around 6:15am and it showed 3 local sites for the vaccine, but one was already filled. Was able to get one about 20 miles away, but that is fine.

Hope they are able to get more vaccine soon and expand the service.

Then I just had to sleep again.

I'm having minor outpatient surgeries on the 10th and 24th and was hoping to get vaccinated in the week between.

Some friends have commented that it was like scrambling for concert tickets.

I forgot to say that I'm glad you got an appointment for your mom. I can wait and isolate some more. The only person I am around had her second Moderna shot 2/2. With her working in the Medical Center labs she was the most possible path for COVID to get into my bubble. Now that is much less of a concern.

throughout the state, I'm not seeing it.

After I fill out the eligibility questions, it asks for a location by zip code. I've put in several nearby and get a message that the vaccine is not available there.

Pls. let me know if you're linking to a broader Va. state-wide location map & CVS stores, if possible. Thanks!

I did the same. Put in my mother's zip code and saw three sites available for her.

I did see on the news that they were suspending the scheduling until the 11th. They reported that CVS will be getting 26 thousand vaccines a week going forward and will be able to get more vaccine into more arms. Also, you have to be registered on the Virginia Dept of Health's web site to be picked up on the CVS site.

Good luck. Just keep trying and make sure you have registered on the VDH web site.
