POLICE ACTIVITY: ACPD is conducting a search warrant in the 1100 block of N. Stuart Street. Police located concerning materials and have requested the assistance of the bomb squad. The suspect has been taken into custody. Expect continued police activity in the area.

UPDATE: Evidence of bomb making materials were recovered during the execution of the search warrant. The all clear has been given and there is no apparent ongoing threat to public safety. Police remain on scene investigating. Additional charges against the suspect are pending.

UPDATE: Police on scene have located an additional suspicious item and have again requested the assistance of the bomb squad. N. Stuart Street between 11th Street N. and Washington Boulevard is closed. Expect continued police and @ArlingtonVaFD presence in the area.

already had a suspect when they released the latest video and information. Sometimes a move like that can be to smoke them out.
