Washington State Democrats Elect Shasti Conrad as Party Chair

Olympia, WA – Today, Shasti Conrad was elected Chair of the Washington State Democrats elected Shasti Conrad by affirmation. Conrad is the first woman of color and youngest person to be elected Chair of the Washington State Democrats as well as the first South Asian and first Indian American woman to serve as a State Democratic Party Chair in the country.

We have one of the most regressive tax systems in the country (heavy on user and sales tax), some of the richest people in the world and no income tax, and rent control is illegal. Illegal! Democrats have a good majority now, so I hope they work on these things.
