WSDOT Seeks Public Input On Future Of State Route 512

PUYALLUP, WA — State transportation leaders are hoping to hear from Pierce County residents who rely on State Route 512 for travel. The Washington State Department of Transportation launched an online open house Monday to give drivers, pedestrians and cyclists an easy way to weigh in on future plans to improve safety and mobility on the highway that runs from Puyallup to Lakewood.

Specifically, WSDOT would like to hear feedback on a new study of the corridor that will serve as the backbone for recommended improvements in the short and long term. Officials said the goal is to improve safety and travel times along the highway for travelers of all kinds.

The window to provide feedback opened Monday morning and will be available through March 14.
