Tesla enters Pacific Northwest with facility in Marysville

Tesla Inc. (Nasdaq: TSLA) has leased one of the first buildings to be delivered in Marysville’s 5.1 million-square-foot Cascade Industrial Center.

The new 245,000-square-foot building at 16015 51st Ave. NE will be used as a parts and assembly plant for Austin, Texas-based electric car manufacturer automaker. It will be the first Tesla plant in the Pacific Northwest.

The Cascade Industrial Center, still in the early stages of development, is a joint industrial hub in Marysville and Arlington. It is expected to create 11,600 jobs by 2040.

The hub includes NorthPoint Development’s Cascade Business Park where the Telsa building is located. It will eventually be home to a nine-building, 4 million-square-foot complex on 426 acres, according to the Daily Herald of Everett.
