Edmonds police hosting event to exchange guns for gift cards
EDMONDS — The Edmonds Police Department is buying back unwanted guns Saturday in exchange for gift cards.
Lasting from 9 a.m. to noon, the event will be located at Edmonds Public Works, 7110 210th St. SW.
Police said all guns being exchanged have to be “unloaded and secured in a trunk or trunk bed and accessible to officers.” The first hour will be reserved for Edmonds residents, while the next two are open to all Snohomish County residents.
All “qualifying” guns can be exchanged for Amazon gift cards, according to the department.
