All about the Richland School District Bond on the ballot this November

RICHLAND, Wash. — The Richland School District (RSD) is asking voters to consider passing its upcoming bond. The cost: $314 million. The biggest part of that includes a new high school, set to be built in West Richland, if passed.

“We've listened to the community, and what we've heard is ‘build a high school.’ So, we're bringing this to the community. We're going to do the best we can to get this information out and let them know what's going on,” said RSD School Board President, Rick Jansons.

RSD has not built a comprehensive high school since Hanford, in the 1970s, and according to Jansons, the high schools are overflowing.

He said this one in particular will have an emphasis in CTE.
