Jim Walsh's Washington State Republicans have been reduced to hoping that King County will have lackluster Election Day
The end of a cycle that didnt go at all as planned for the Washington State Republican Party is fast approaching, with the end of voting in the 2024 presidential election only hours away and the certification of the election about a month beyond that. As the clock winds down, it appears that Party Chairman Jim Walsh and his operatives have been searching for ways to motivate their anxious and fretful base, having endured multiple weeks of bad press, bad Top Two results, bad polls, and bad rally attendance.
Theyve settled on openly rooting for King Countys ballot return rates to be lower than what they have been in previous cycles, which is really ridiculous, but totally in keeping with how Walsh and the people who work for him roll.
Heres a Facebook post from earlier today:
Voting is down by more than 270,000 votes in King County. Common-sense conservatives: Make your move: VOTE. VOTE. VOTE.
A few hours later, there was a similar one:
Its likely that the failed and disastrous policies of current AG Bob Ferguson are directly related to low voter turnout in King County, where ballot returns are down a staggering 270K from this time last year. Vote for Dave Reichert For Governor and Pete Serrano for Attorney General.
