I am from NY but this is for WV and Asylum.

Today I was listening to Thom Hartmann and Mark Pocan discuss the Asylum fiasco at the boarder. As horrendous as this is, I need to share a personal story. Two and a half years ago my step daughter met a guy online.. He was 23 with a 4 year old. They hooked up and quickly and started to live together here in upstate NY. Basically, they live in our backyard in a family rental property. They are getting married in September..

The point to the story is that he left West Virginia because of the pollution, lack of jobs and the problems with drugs and opioids. He understood that he needed to move to a blue state to help him out.. Now he is employed doing well and his son has health insurance. Is this not a Refugee Family running from WV because of their politics... Yes my friends it is, and we are all doing fine... Should NY build a wall????

I have a friend who employs over 100 card-holding workers to help keep his dairy farm (yeah, it's a big one!) running in New York.

Before the 2016 election I asked him what he was going to do if IQ45 built the wall - where would he get his help (that he cannot find from the local community!)?

His reply?

"I hope they build it while they're still on this side of it!"

PS: So far he's still doing fine - guess ICE doesn't go into the farm lands.............yet.
