Bice: Ex-Gov. Scott Walker dumped from GOP event after clashing with Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner

"I supported her disinviting him," said Sensenbrenner, who was first elected to Congress in 1978.

Sensenbrenner said he was upset with Walker for his criticisms on the radio of Republican congressmen who opposed President Donald Trump's national emergency declaration to fund a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border. Sensenbrenner was one of 13 GOP House members to defy Trump.

Tom Evenson, a spokesman for Walker, acknowledged that Sensenbrenner and Walker had talked by phone about the issue. But he declined to discuss the contents of the conversation or what happened with Walker's speaking invitation for the caucus.

"He desperately wants to stay relevant, stay the head of the party, the conservative movement," said the Republican, who has to work with both Sensenbrenner and Walker. "And now that he is no longer the governor, with no power base, others can ignore him or take moves to show their disapproval."

Back in February, Walker agreed to fill in for a couple of days on WISN-AM (1130) for conservative talk show host Mark Belling, who had suffered a stroke.

In one 25-minute segment, Walker took up the House's resolution on Trump's emergency declaration on Feb. 26, the same day as the vote.

There's really nothing else to see here, IMO.

...at a significant time here in Wisconsin.

Waukesha county is THE most Republican stronghold with an over 90% voter turnout. I never want to see that weasel back in this state again.
