Here's updated text from a previous post on WISCONSIN VOTER REGISTRATION AND EARLY (ABSENTEE) VOTING.
Absentee Voting for the August 11, 2020 Partisan Primary - early Voting is Open as of June 29, 2020.
All voters in Wisconsin can request an absentee ballot be mailed to them for any reason, either for one election or all elections, in the current year.
1) Voters must be registered before they can request an absentee ballot. You can do both; register & absentee with in-person at any municipal clerks office.
2) You must provide a photocopy of your Wisconsin Photo ID (Driver's License, State Age ID, Voting Only ID) with your absentee ballot request. Bring it with you.
--- NOTE: Copy your Photo ID info directly from your ID. Do not use nicknames or shortened version ( Donald not Don, Agnes not Aggie).
Copy your name with exact spelling, or your ballot will be rejected and you may wind up purged from the polling lists.
3) You can also vote when registering at a municipal clerk's office. You can see your specific ballot by visiting your Wisconsin county clerk's website. They must post every ward's ballot online a month before each election. You can find your voting ward (polling location) info, when you check your registration with the link below to myvote.wi.gov and then find your ballot at your county clerk's website.
