The Wisconsin Department of Health Services confirmed 740 new cases of COVID-19 and 7 new deaths on August 20. That brings the state’s total number of cases to 68,233 and the total number of deaths to 1,067.

Over the past week, the state has added an average of 718 cases per day, 7% lower than the previous week. Meanwhile, 7 people are dying per day from the virus, which is 22% higher than the previous week. The test positivity rate of 8.0% over the past week is higher than the week before.
