(29,821 posts)Lake Arenal is in Costa Rica where we retired in 2019.
We fished a lot in the Grand Marsh/Lower Locks. Thats one of our favorite things in Marquette Co. by Montello
Loved the many Amish greenhouse there too. I miss them too.

(9,184 posts)Kingston house, The amish bakery, and Mishlers country store farther south and east of Montello, The Mexican restaurant and bar out in the middle of nowhere. I grew up close to Marquette county. There was a group of us from Marquette county Neshkoro, and Green Lake area we used to play "Guts" volleyball.
Dalton is seeing a resurgence, kinda getting the Princeton flea market vibe when it was in it's very early days.
I'm sure we have some mutual acquaintances.

(29,821 posts)I always went to Grand River Greenhouse.
Rosanna and Elizabeth became friends.
We even did a road trip to Lost Acres Greenhouse near Beaver Dam together.
I went to the store that opened first.
Then my friend sold a building to a vendor up the hill more. The white store put in FB that she loved trump and any customers she lost could suck eggs. So I never went there again.
