Comfort dogs on duty in Waukesha, WI.....

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WBAY) – The Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry was deployed to Waukesha following the Christmas parade tragedy.

Seven golden retrievers, including five from Wisconsin, offered their services during a vigil at Cutler Park Monday evening.

“One thing that they bring is the spirit of compassion, and they bring the spirit of presence,” said Gary Kilvinger, a dog handler from Brookfield.

She's four pounds and somehow I get a quarter and she takes three. I wake up having been pushed to the edge many mornings. I will officially go to pieces when she crosses the Bridge. She's been a constant companion since 2008 so we're getting close. Though I am trying not to think about it. I love her SO, SO much.

About how if they lived longer, they would break our hearts all the more.
I know it's hard to contemplate but another special one will come along.
