Wyoming leaders condemn Trump's comments, still endorse him

CHEYENNE – Wyoming’s top elected officials widely condemned recently released lewd remarks by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, but stopped short of saying they wouldn’t vote for him.

Last week, the Washington Post broke a story about a recorded conversation in 2005 with Billy Bush, who was then a correspondent for “Access Hollywood,” in which Trump used vulgar, lewd language to refer to women.

As a result, numerous Republicans condemned the remarks, with some – including U.S. Sen. Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, and Gov. Gary Herbert, R-Utah – withdrawing their endorsement of Trump.

All three members of Wyoming’s congressional delegation criticized the remarks.
