Pretty clear cut example of discrimination.
He wrote that she wasn't qualified and "unlike Trinity Western University, we embrace diversity, and the right of people to sleep with or marry whoever they want."
Trinity Western is the Christian university in Langley, B.C., where Paquette earned her biology degree

Isn't one of the seven signs something about someone being rejected for a job. But I think it was Nova Scotia and not BC.

and there were other applicants more qualified.
His personal 2 cents will cost his employer. If he indeed wrote this he should lose his job

that only hires Christians. One of the interview questions is to "describe your relationship with Christ". They expect people who work there to attend church and abide by their rules of morality. Yet the jobs are for things like truck drivers, warehouse worker, receptionist, intake worker etc.
They get away with it.
