And my furnace quit overnight.
I love winter, but this is really, really bad timing.
Fixed [IMG][/IMG] (and cheap, I think my cousin gave me a pretty good deal) Now it's really loud, like that furnace in 'The 'Burbs' and my dog and cat are looking at the registers sort of weird ..... but whatever, it's warm.

(34,589 posts)Stay warm! Do you have someplace to go?

(20,582 posts)in my basement so the pipes don't freeze (I hope), and my oven and a few electric heaters up here, I'll be ok ... it's just maddening that it had to happen today. I do have places I could go, but my huge dog and cat make me a little hesitant to ask.
I have a cousin who's a plumber/furnace person so will call him soon. If he can't come though and I can't find anyone else (plumbers and furnace-repair people are rare here, I'm in a tiny town surrounded by other small towns), I'm going to start burning things, lol.

(20,582 posts)He's coming about 2:00, thank goodness. Right now my cat is laying on my feet, so they're nice and warm anyway.

(20,582 posts)how adorable, and what a gorgeous photo. That's a beautiful dog.
Daughter (an aspiring photographer) snapped that pic of him.
