They'd have put you in a straight jacket and locked you away until they could figure out how to diagnose you if you'd even suggested such a thing just a year or so ago.

It's just SO GOOD!

(eta: and Canada is going into a Fed election in Oct '15, just a few months from now, and .... I better not jinx it but it's looking good!)

Global predicting an NDP majority government in Alberta. Oh, now CTV too.
CBC says majority….. gotta love it.

A sea change in Alberta, and hopefully a good omen for October in Canada. I was a afraid that the NDP would win a minority and get stifled and obstructed into ineffective governance.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love it... Harper must be crying.

Angry population with the party in control for 44 years. Can you imagine 44 years? Conservative party much like the republicans. Believe in the same things. Tax the middle class, poor but nothing for the Corporations. They don't to like to say rich so they use the big word instead. The governing party had 70 of 87 seats. Ended up with 10 and in third place.

The NDP went from 5 seats to 53!!! How's that for a butt whopping!!! ha, ha, ha. A woman leader and 27 women out of the 53.
Party time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw this tweet and find it funny.

For you Americans confused about Alberta election

“Democrats won Texas’ state senate and Elizabeth Warren is now Governor

To the federal election. Time for the Harper Conservatives to receive their walking papers, and be escorted out the door!

And I realized why; its not just that the NDP pulled off something epic, and we have an NDP govt. in Alberta, but also that victories are so rare for people like me who are very liberal on social issues, libertarian on Charter of Rights issues, and socialist on economic issues. We are so used to being let down in elections. I hope this is a watershed moment for Canada.
