Canadian scientist Steve Campana quits over government muzzling (radio interview)

This is so depressing. At one point, he says he believes that lack of government investment and oppressive policies around scientific research have so damaged the field that we can never recover to the level we were 7 years ago. He's speaking out now -- from his new home in Iceland -- only because he can no longer be disciplined for doing so.
