Says it all, imo. In Harper world, there is no need to answer to the public, no need to even mix with the 'great unwashed'. Disgusting.

never showed for the all candidate's meeting. People made a point of asking why and there was no response.

Clearly, the damage they'll suffer for 'not attending' would be almost invisible compared to the pounding they take in All Candidates Forum's. Conservative voters don't show up because they aren't really interested in what other candidates have to say. Which leaves a crowd of pissed off NDPers and Liberals that any 'thinking' conservative would be smart to avoid.

Back in the 80's we used an unflattering caricature propped up in an empty chair to highlite the candidates absence.
