but to be honest I thought he'd done well in all of them, (though the perma-smile in 1st was a bit odd). Still Its hard to judge who wins a debate, if the questions are bad or irrelevant, or the right people aren't allowed to answer them fully, or when there is bad moderation, lack of manners. I think its still mostly a partisan popularity contest. Engaged Canadians deserve better, but then again most Canadians are in incurious lot, who won't even show up at the polls.

I was glad when Tom dropped the creepy-uncle smile, and I was VERY happy that he stopped sniping at Trudeau. It was very unbecoming, IMO, and did not reflect well on him. I think in trying to tone done "Angry Tom," the passion had to go somewhere, and it came out as bitchy jibes. Glad to see he was respectful yet forceful and passionate last night.

As for "most Canadians" -- aaargh. Don't get me started on the frustrating conversations I've had with people who don't see the point in voting....
