1. Couldn't happen to a more deserving arsehole.

Please please please please PLEASE let the Canadian system work and dump O'Leary to the curb like right now. I'll be happy if Leitch goes down with him, but I think she's going to hang in there for a while.

If Michael Chong manages to get in, we'll be moving back to a time when the name "Progressive Conservative" made some sense. I have some Liberal/NDP friends who are contemplating joining the Conservative party just to vote for Chong.

2. It's sad that Chong

is only making news because his child is associated with a bizarre breastfeeding column in the Globe and Mail.

He has a number of common-sense proposals and seems like a well-intentioned and decent human being. But that's not enough today, one has to be a celebrity or outrageous in some fashion to get attention, sadly.
