https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/katie-hopkins-confronted-furious-critic-13231130And, while that's certainly never stopped her from causing offence, Katie Hopkins has faced the reality of her outspoken ways.
The 43-year-old TV star was confronted by an angry critic in Cardiff who told her she was 'unwelcome' in Wales for her views on 'immigrants, people benefits, the sick and disabled'.
In the video, Hopkins is seen holding a microphone near House of Fraser in the city centre trying to ask passers-by about the Welsh language when her interview is cut short.
Reg Phillips, 21, confronts Hopkins by shouting: "You're not Welsh, get out of Wales, nobody in Wales wants you here, nobody in Wales cares about you."
Explaining his actions, Reg, from Cardiff, said: "I wanted to disrupt her in the most ridiculous way possible.
"She is a beacon of the sort of attitudes that are wholly unwelcome in Cardiff and Wales as a whole.
"It's important to remember that her anti-Welsh views are just the tip of the iceberg of her Trump-style incitements.
"She should be firmly told she is not welcome wherever she shows up and that we stand with immigrants, Muslims, people on benefits, transgender people, the sick and the disabled, lower class people and everyone she incites against.
"Katie Hopkins has no business commenting on the Welsh language, neither does any other English person. Her hateful attitude is not welcome here."
Awesome. She needs to be dogged where ever she goes.

We need more people like him that are not afraid to confront the morons like this. I do it every chance I get, I don't give a flying shit about these assholes.

@WelshFanZoneTV
I emailed @KTHopkins with a fake story about her Welsh Language Tweet using characters from Gavin and Stacey and she took the bait 😂😂😂🎣
Write-up here for those not familiar with Gavin and Stacey:
A Welsh football fan decided to prank Katie Hopkins after she sought out negative stories about Welsh language education online.
The owner of the Twitter account Welsh Fan Zone TV sent the former Daily Mail columnist a fake story saying his son Smithy and friend Gavin were being bullied at school for speaking English.
The names of all the characters in the email, including the parents Pam and Mick and the teacher Miss Jenkins come from the TV show Gavin and Stacey.
Katie Hopkins fell for the prank, emailing him back and reassuring him that his story would help other parents. You are not alone.

Meanwhile, she also got into hot water in Newport:
Furious parents have voiced their anger after Katie Hopkins posted a tweet featuring pictures of their children.
Newport High School and Newport City Council said they were "appalled" that permission was not sought from the school, local authority or parents, and that "someone would purposely stage such a photo for their own gain".

...
Shaun Watkins said: "I do not think she should have been allowed to visit the school.
"Some of the things she has said in the past are outrageous.
"People in Newport should all come together and say she is not welcome here - especially at our schools."
Another parent Anna Parry, who lives in Bettws, feels "angry" that the controversial figure appeared at the site.
"I do not understand why she went there," said Miss Parry. "It looks like it was a publicity stunt. If she wanted to talk to teachers and other staff then why would you turn up on a weekend? No-one is there then. "Everyone is talking about it and trying to figure out why she went. "It all seems weird."

(7,944 posts)You're welcome.
I usually do my best to totally ignore Hopkins, but while digging those up, I saw how many other outgroups she constantly targets on a daily basis.
That's bad enough, but more disturbing is the number of online dittohead followers she has who parrot and defend her every word.
She gets paid to spread filth, they do it because they swallow it.

I can confirm today that following that landmark libel case, Katie Hopkins has entered into an IVA to avoid bankruptcy. I knew for a while but could not say anything for legal reasons. The arbitrary defender of free speech didn't want anyone to know, ironically...

...I have been paid in full, but many of her creditors, including my lawyer, will not be paid what they are owed. For the want of an apology, a house, a job, a column, a radio show, and now financial solvency, were lost. It's all very sad, actually.

I'm not cruel nor celebrating - that case cost me 18 months of sanity and work, and I think neither of us wanted it to turn out this way.
(I can recommend an excellent budget cookery book or three, for getting back on your feet, though)
Here's the details of the case:
Broadcaster Katie Hopkins has been refused permission to have her libel fight heard at the Court of Appeal.
Ms Hopkins was successfully sued by food blogger and campaigner Jack Monroe in March last year following two tweets in which the broadcaster accused her of vandalising a war memorial.
...
Mr Justice Warby, sitting at the High Court, said the tweets in May 2015 had caused "Ms Monroe real and substantial distress" and she was entitled to "fair and reasonable compensation".
Ms Hopkins was ordered to give her £24,000 in damages, as well as to pay £107,000 towards the campaigner's legal costs within 28 days - although the final costs bill is likely to be higher.
