The Duke and Duchess of Sussexs decision to step back from public life has provoked vitriolic attacks on the couple and hyperbolic predictions on what it could mean for the monarchy.
The announcement came after Prince Harry and Meghan criticised media intrusion and launched legal action against the Mail on Sunday. This, along with reports that the couples decision has upset the Queen, appears to have fuelled the ferocity of the reaction.
Meghan and Harry are the two most spoiled brats in history, according to broadcaster and former Mirror editor, Piers Morgan.
After the news broke on Wednesday night, Morgan launched a Twitter tirade against Meghan and Harry that has continued on Thursday. He said the death of his mother Diana did not give Harry licence to treat the Queen so appallingly

I hated him before but reading that tweet makes me just repulsed by that vile asshole Piers Morgan and that he should just shut up and go away

Princess Anne, and later Prince Andrew, was the spare until Prince Charles had children.

(16,270 posts)A lot of people stepped away from the Catholic Church because they didn't want to associate with sexual assailants nor assailant-enablers. IF, hypothetically, that was a motivating factor (and I am not really claiming it is), wouldn't they be totally justified in doing so?
Besides, with the change in inheritance rules, Harry is now way, way down the line: Charles, William, each of William's kids, then Harry.
The "spoiled brats" in this scenario are the weirdo Brits who think they own these people as pets, who think it is their business who they breed with and when, where they live, etc.

(14,657 posts)Invade your privacy and cause a kerfuffle in the brit press?? If you don't want to be in the spotlight and step back...... just don't say anything and just step back? I bet it would be some time before the press would notice that Meghan and Harry weren't hanging around the castle much.. Would not notice "we don't hear from them much". Keep you trap shut and just do it.
To me it's like people leaving a forum and making long winded posts about the why's and wherefore..... JUST GO... Then again that's me... YMMV..

(102,478 posts)of relief. 17 pages. The Mail's problem is if they do step back, the paper will lose a couple of reliable love/hate figures to fill up its pages with.
