It was cast in Britain and install in 1959. Its never been to Palestine.

I wonder if there is some confusion here between Big Ben in London, and another clock, probably influenced by it, called 'Big Ben, Aden'. Quite possibly there is some Arab rivalry over that; but not the one in London!
