The only thing more shocking than the shitty 1% pay deal for nurses is that anyone is shocked that..

the shittiest government in the recent history of this kingdom would offer them more than that...

With an 80 seat brexit majority they are able to treat those who have strived through the most arduous of years to keep us alive in as the plebs & idiots they believe them to be. In the face of the utter incompetence and grift of those who have now told them to all bugger off and the finances of the national will not support a pay rise - even in line with inflation, they have led the nation from the front even while trying to battle the utter horror shitshow that is Hancock et al

We love they nurses they cry! We admire them! We applaud them!

1%

As James O'B so brilliantly put it on his radio show yesterday. 'Can't we just give the nurses the £350 million-a-week Brexit bonus?' Heh.

Health workers had been in line for a 2.1% pay rise before the pandemic, the head of NHS England has confirmed.

The government has suggested staff may get 1% this year - sparking an angry backlash from doctors and nurses.

Sir Simon Stevens told MPs he wanted workers to get "proper reward" for their efforts and he could "see the attraction" of a one-off bonus.

But he backed the government's overall approach to the dispute, saying it should be up to a pay review panel.
