"He [Johnson] is a vacuum of integrity..."

Edited clip of astonishing must-listen interview with #DominicGrieve on #R4Today.

"He [Johnson] is a vacuum of integrity..."

"... this is a cronyistic cabale."

"... spiralling into something significantly different in terms of its integrity from anything I can ever remember."

(For friends across the pond if you do not know what this is about - a very brief brief. Someone leaked texts that the PM made and received with a very rich business man about reducing his workers tax burden if they come back to UK to help with ventilator development during the pandemic. Very naughty. Not using proper communication channels etc. No 10 accused the former special advisor - the uniquely overrated far right Brexit fanatic that is Dominic Cummings - of being the source of the leaks. Cummings came out with a very strongly worded statement yesterday saying it was not him and accusing the PM of illegality in the refurbishment funding of the flat BoJo lives in. Who knows. They are all liars. But the Tories are imploding and it is terribly good fun.)

Dominic Grieves has no shits left to give LOL

Who would have thought that the far right lying shitshow cabal of 'narcissistic, mendacious, incompetent, entitled, elitist, corrupt, hateful, and capable of illegality (Alistair Campbell)' wankers that brought us Brexit could be this awful at governing? 👀

Of course there would be a vacuum of integrity at the heart of any Brexit government, and to be fair you have to laugh at Cummings having the nerve to say in statement yesterday, that 'It is sad to see the PM and his office fall so far below the standards of competence and integrity the country deserves.' I mean come on... he has had more to do with the rot at the heart of Whitehall than any SPAD in history... Machiavelli would have looked on in wonder at the level of cunning, duplicity, and bad faith governance when Cummings held the power of number 10 in his hands.

He said (BoJo), he said (cummings), from a couple of the biggest liars in the land! Shit is about to get really amusing. Cummings going toe to toe with the number 10 machine. He knows where the bodies are buried, hell he held the spade...

(graphic mine)

This is going to get very nasty and is sooooo much fun for the rest us who have seen who they are since the beginning of the far right takeover over here. Tories be like Hehehehe.

I would not take their word, either of them, for anything.

are bound to turn on each other eventually. There's only so much room at the "top of the ladder", so someone's going to get thrown off. Maybe all of them. That's the kind of people they are. The politics may be different, but the drivers of human nature are universal. No honor among liars and thieves.

10. When I First Saw The Headline, I Didn't Realize It Was About BoJo

I thought it was about Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin. The headline fits there as well.

Edited to clarify: Clearly I'm not the only one who thought that!

Who feels no shame to resign. Our Ron Johnson didn't understand why we care whether our neighbors get a vaccine or not. I could watch Amy Poehler and Tina Fey eat popcorn all day

Is that nothing is considered a resigning matter for them, be it cronyism, dodgy contracts, bullying or incompetence. And nobody seems bothered about this.

Exactly the same thing in America. It was mind-boggling what it took for anyone to resign in the last Administration

A 'vacuum of integrity' is masterful. As Dominic Grieve says, it is 'terribly good fun'.

There is too much I don't understand about British politics. Brexit seemed like a bad idea, though. Much like if Texas decided to pull out of the US. Bad idea.
