While the protest appeared aimed at the BBCs coverage of coronavirus, the White City site is not the location of the BBC News studio, which moved to Broadcasting House in central London eight years ago when the public broadcaster shuttered its Television Centre headquarters.
The former west London site has since been redeveloped into luxury flats, with some office and studio spaces that continue to house the broadcasters commercial wing BBC Studios and independent production companies.
The studios at the site are now primarily leased by ITV to film Lorraine, Loose Women and Good Morning Britain.

And, to no one's surprise, the detestable Gillian McKeith, who makes a living from spreading bullshit about "alternative health" (see Ben Goldacre and his Bad Science articles/book for details) is cheering the anti-vaxxers on.
The footage appeared to show scores of demonstrators gathering at nearby Shepherds Bush Green before marching on the building.
One man in the crowd can be heard saying: "It might be going towards the BBC...it looks like we're going to White City guys".
The crowd is then seen in footage outside Television Centre, where it is met by a heavy police presence.

What the video at The Independent shows is a huge number of people dressed in black - surely too many to be a coincidence. They are literally bringing back the blackshirts.

(14,800 posts)To be honest, they all came across as bullying and quite abusive, even in how they spoke to each other. They got quite a lot of middle fingers from passing motorists.
Also, they didn't actually have much to say other than shouting "FACKING SHEEPLE" at passing motorists. They did more to convince me of the need for mandatory vaccination to be frank.

I think there's a section of society that now just feels that protesting something is good. I wonder if over a year without going abroad to behave like a mindless lout in foreign towns and cities has left them with the overwhelming desire to do it in the UK.

Some of these are conspiracy theorists who don't think that Covid exists; others consider themselves to be 'tough guys' and anyone who takes any precautions as a coward. I remember getting into an argument a few months ago with someone online who insisted that he wasn't going to wear a mask or socially distance because 'I am a big BIG man!' As if he was expecting to beat up the virus with his bare hands or something!
