In Dutch newspaper... says it all.

I have some rant to add...

Crops rotting in the fields because surprise! Brits don't want to that work...
Just in time production close to complete collapse
Not nearly enough lorry drivers to keep the supply chain moving
Shelves empty of some goods in supermarkets across the land! Minister appointed to save Christmas 👀
17.1% or €16bn fall in UK exports to EU
Brexit trade barriers added £600m in costs to UK importers this year
Britishness (english white blokes) Programming
Not enough workers to pull the pints
NI Protocol and threatening collapse of the assembly - and the stability of the peace process (again)
A border in the Irish Sea
Medical supplies compromised
Imperial measures (Really)
Gaslighting the entire nation - case in point... Nadine @ Culture? There's a juxtaposition if you ever saw one

And this...

Look at Patel as she marks Gale’s card. See how she checks Johnson’s face as a guide to her required stance. Lucky for Gale - Johnson hasn’t yet authorised water boarding. It’ll come.

Roger Gale - Thanet Earth has had to trash £320,000 worth of produce because of no pickers and drivers. The crops are rotting in the fields and on our trees. Will the PM introduce, immediately, a Covid recovery visa?

TBF that was a heart breaking I told you so to the Brexiters in his own party. They will be after him as with pitchforks for exposing the ruinous outcome of their brexit uplands of absolute shite.

That's exactly what it has done...Recreated the England where the rich own and control everything and those not rich enough pay them to do it, badly.

designed to seriously injure democracies worldwide, for the glorification of the Russian motherland.

Brexit was the dress rehearsal for Trump's ascending to power, and that worked so beautifully for Putin's plans to destroy the U.S.

9. Putin's plan, perfectly executed by those natives with the ego and indolence to destroy us all.

True for Britain as well as the US. The best of the both of us.

Putin, China, Iran, socialists: none of them were necessary to undo 3 generations of western progress. The actual culprits were home grown. The only requirement was for the inheritors of pre-accumulated wealth to take the reins of economic and thus political power. They then simply had to be themselves. Nothing gets fixed until this perpetual national suicide is eliminated. All the problems of democracy stem from ill-gotten gains improperly squandered.

That's what the Democratic proposed tax code is ultimately targeting. The primary sabotage/pushback against this progressive plan is financed by organizations whose executives rake in their obscene incomes by administering those trust-babies' fortunes.

Those old "Smith-Barney" commercials worked better than anyone ever thought. 401-K's have created so many copycats these days.

backers gathered. But like in UK, immigrant workers were a big part of it, but rarely is wage reduction mentioned as the driver of the immigration.

Not to mention how our own news media aided and abated all of it.

Produce rotting on the trees and in the fields, with no one to harvest them. Brits won't work for wages that low.

Even if they were able to harvest them, there's no lorry drivers to take them to market.

Brext - Brilliant.

Same here due to the nuttiness on our southern border. It boils down to angry, uneducated, underperforming white males screwing themselves and everyone else as well. The same people who preach personal responsibility ad nauseam are pissed life didn't drop leadership and prosperity in their laps simply for being white and male, so they're bent on burning it all down around them. The US and the UK are like mirror images.

so home ec, shop classes, secretarial classes and the rest got tossed in favor of high school sports.

then the burden of student loans kicked in along with renting every gaud darn thing instead of ownership.

Now the brick and mortar stores are leaving, the family farms are becoming industrialized, the menial labor jobs have become

supplemental income for seniors instead of OTJ learning,

and the wealthy keep raking it in and taking more while pitting the lower working classes against each other.

At 70 y/o I don't picture anything changing.no matter the country.
