It's not often that I agree with Edwina Currie, but...

...Speaking on Tuesday Edwina Currie, an ex-health minister, said there was absolutely no way the prime minister would survive in office.

Asked during an interview with the GB News channel whether Ms Truss could survive, Ms Currie said: “Oh, no, of course she can't survive. Oh my goodness. I'm going to put this on record. I think she is charmless, graceless, brainless and useless."

Elaborating, Ms Currie claimed that the Tory leader "doesn't have any of the skills" to put across her argument.

"You sack senior civil servants, you ignore all the systems that are there, and then you wonder why the markets really get freaked out?" she said...

You have a leader who is merely "charmless, graceless, brainless and useless." We had one of those, too, but he was also lawless, traitorous and dangerous. And because of your parliamentary system you can get rid of her quickly. Do it now, before she gets worse. She's like Thatcher, only stupid.

Basically the Conservative Party does not have a clear successor, cannot afford another drawn out leadership contest and can't afford to let grassroots Tories choose as they would probably vote in somebody as bad or even worse line Suella Braverman.

Looking on Twitter, right wingers are busy blaming each other for the current mess, The worst culprits being people from "Think Tanks" like the IEA, who were heavily involved in the bad policies that crashed the UK economy.

As for Truss herself, I'm actually worried that things could be taking a severe psychological toll on her.

We thought it couldn't get any worse than Johnson, and look where we are now.

Wow. She seems nice...

I read up on her. She sounds really terrible, kind of a politer version of Marjorie Taylor-Greene. And she's Buddhist, but she seems to embrace a sort of Buddhism that would give Siddhartha the hives. But we have all these "Christians" who'd scare the pants off Jesus, so...

And we thought it couldn't get any worse than Nixon, or Reagan, or Bush. The possibility of Worse Than Trump scares me a lot. I guess worse is always possible.

Seems to have been dismissed. To be honest she completely ignored the whole concept of cabinet collective responsibility and whilst Truss is weak, she evidently isn't weak enough to tolerate that!
