(4,108 posts)I was truly hoping for a female senator to defeat Gardner, but then Romanoff joined the race. I've been a champion of his for over a decade, and he would be an amazing liberal senator.
Generally speaking, I regret that we've never had a female senator, and we should. But I'll be supporting Romanoff in this race. He's not female, but he will fight for women's rights as much if not more than any woman would.
As for governor, we JUST elected the first openly gay governor! I'm having a hard enough time wrapping my head around the 2020 race. Given the multiple existential crises we are dealing with right now, thinking about 2026 feels a bit ridiculous to me.

(4,108 posts)I JUST today heard an interview with him saying he likes being back in CO and has no intention of moving back to DC. That means nothing in politics, but he did sound pretty frustrated with life inside the beltway.
However, moving back as president is something I think he could wrap his head around. I wouldn't vote for him in a primary though. I didn't even support him when he ran for House the first time (he rep'd my district). Too rich and corporate. He basically bought his seat. Bennett, IMHO, has the same issue. Too connected to the corporate PTB.
Of course, I'll vote for any D against any R. (Unless something earth-shattering happens, like the parties trade philosophies like happened between the Civil War and the Civil Rights movement. Don't see that happening.)
My two cents.
