Democratic Party blacklists companies that work for the challenger to an incumbent?

Or is it only in Minnesota?

Ilhan Omar is being challenged by several, one of whom got a lot of donation.

So the DFL is suing him:

Minnesota DFL officials charged Tuesday that Antone Melton-Meaux, the top challenger to incumbent U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, skirted campaign finance laws by hiding some of his top political consultants in Tuesday’s nationally watched Democratic primary.

A Federal Election Commission complaint obtained by the Star Tribune alleges Melton-Meaux’s campaign violated federal election law by “conspiring to intentionally obscure” the identity of political consultants listed as limited liability corporations working on his challenge to Omar in a hotly contested race that has already seen each side raise more than $4 million.

According to the StarTribune, which today endorsed Melton-Meaux, DFL Party has chosen to make an issue of Melton-Meaux’s finances, filing a late complaint that his campaign used “shadow” companies for his bid, a step the campaign told supporters was necessary because the Democratic Party blacklists companies that work for the challenger to an incumbent.

as an aside: Omar has sent more than $1.6 million to her husband’s D.C. political consulting firm, E Street Group, and is herself the target of a Federal Election Commission complaint regarding travel expenses.

Remove $$ from elections.

Media, Ad marketing & back-scratch influence buys our politics.

Appears in many a case, the lure of wealth accumulation beyond just the election, has become an acceptable tradition.
That needs to end. Our entire election finance system is corrupt.

using these swampy and possibly illegal tactics. I think it is a good thing they hold candidates to a high standard.
