How can I extract audio from YouTube video and load it into my mp3 player?

my mp3 player is my cell phone. I've watched a few videos on how to do this and just don't get it.
Is there a simple way to do this?

(2,928 posts)The recorder built right into windows will record it as a giant .wav file - but your mp3 player will probably play that too.

(37,540 posts)It's pretty simple. After you download it for FF, when you go on the Youtube site, click on the Download and you, ll get options on how to save it (video types or MP3 only)...select the location to download and down.

(11,252 posts)You paste the video URL, click start, and it pulls the audio off the video as an mp3 for you to download.

(550 posts)I use it on all my Windows machines. Its a package that has around 50 or so audio/video conversion tools that integrate quite well into your browser. Lots of options too you can tweak. Very clean running.
You can also just install their standalone youtube to mp3 converter if you don't want the whole package.
A couple caveats. Opt out of the install of yet another toolbar, other free software or change search/homepage settings. Don't opt to pay for the sooper dooper PRO version. Free is good enough.

(4 posts)Try to use applications like Audacity, but if you want to extract audio in an easier way, Streaming Audio Recorder is another good choice.
You just need to play the video and then click the button on to begin to extract the audio from it. It has a converting function so you can transfer audio files to mp3 player or other portable devices.
It is convenient, I do like it.
