I have to get rid of Comcast before I do something I regret. Any opinions on the best internet

providers?

I checked through and went to 2 sites, one with the top 4 and the other that just said "the best" and the both had reviews on each.

The reviews of these, "best internet providers" were terrible!!! (Some I never heard of like PeoplePC, Frontiers)

I want to increase my speed, which right now is about 10 mpb download and not pay for Comcast because I hate them.

Someone said Xfinity would go up to 100mpb but it was more expensive. I am beginning to not care.

I'm waiting patiently for Google Fiber who just purchased my ISP, Webpass.

Embark

There are several that seem like small businesses. I didn't know a small business could provide internet.

I read that Verison was the best but then I read that Xfinity was and then someone else. Google fiber sounds like it would be great

So I left them for Webpass. Rather give my money to the little guys, even though the service is not that great.

They can't take money out of my account anymore since I changed it and I am so irritated at the bullshit that they pulled with me for so long I, at least want to take as long as I see fit to pay the bill but...

I am getting out! And I'm glad you said that about Xfinity. I was thinking of them. And since I have cut my TV cable I have extra money to spend on a better internet provider.

I so want to just go to their site to get someone here ASAP and get rid of Century Link before they can charge me this "extra fee"but knowing businesses they probably have already charged me.

And what infrastructure each provider has available to your house. For example where I live Century Link has a 3 meg cap but if you go a couple of miles down the road they have fiber to the house and they can deliver a gig per second. Here the cable provider provides the most consistent service across town but where fiber goes to the door the phone company does better.

Really hard to tell anyone what is best where they live without investigating each companies service in that particular area.

when our only choice was Comcast, it was horrible for us but fine for our neighbors. Now we have ATT Uverse and it's fine for us but sucks for the neighbors. They all suck I guess.

We are supposed to have Google Fiber available soon. I will try them knowing I can always go back to Suck 1 or Suck 2.
