Audio/Video cable (t.v.) - not computer question, but you're helpful here.
I don't know the name of the cable/function. It's got 3 plug-ins on each end: Red, white, yellow, the first two being Audio, the other Video.
The problem is the LENGTH needed, about 20 feet. Am waiting for the big box place to open, suspecting they won't have the length, but if I can get *anything* out of them or from helpful DUers here it might be the NAME of the cable so that I can dig online to order that way. I'm sure the big box store won't have that length of cable anyway.
What this is about is the t.v. satellite bozos pretended to be doing me a favor by "giving" me a new receiver, but there's that box there in the bedroom with the t.v., which is only used late night, while the main t.v. for daytime is in a room about 20 feet away as the cable stretches via windows on outside walls. This second t.v. needs to be connected to the receiver.
The satellite people said they cannot/won't take back the new box, or probably that they will charge for some other box arrangement for multiple t.v.(s).
So, what is the name of this cable to Search online for? Thanks in advance for anything. If it's something ridiculously obvious as "audio video cable" - so be it. I'll be trying that Search for starters in the meantime and feel more stupid after the answers.

(43,201 posts)If you buy one locally check both ends. Some have different connectors for different applications.

(72,421 posts)Big Box locally doesn't have the length. This *would* be a weekend so that online ordering delivery is a dead end till the work week.
Big Box says they have a wireless "TV Anywhere" thing.
A home theater place said they can make custom lengths of cable, but then said the 3-plug deal won't work, and went into complicated splitters and hdmi and installation into the hundreds of bucks, also said the wireless deal doesn't last long. Oh, and they want me to take pictures of the three gadgets.

(72,421 posts)Who knows why. Well, somebody (the satellite guy? the family member?) had connected some unknown wire into the box. And we never talked about it because the signal to the 2nd t.v. was not doing anything.
Just now, to take a picture of the back of that t.v., while I was holding the sides to turn it back to its place, LO AND BEHOLD, the t.v. *********CAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Huh?!1 Just HUH?!1
The satellite guy had been here early this morning just to hear me chew him out and just kept saying I only had a connection for ONE t.v., not both, and he didn't touch it. And the relative had no clue that whatever he did was something.
Will now just hold my breath every time I Power On. If it goes out, I then will pursue the DUers' online ordering places and the local outlets I found out about. Thanks, ALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!

(72,421 posts)I think the satellite dude and the relative each knew some compartmentalized part. So did the Big Box and the Home Theater salesdudes on the phone. Really, I ought to apologize to 1 or 2 of those.
