How do I change my password for my yahoo email?

I can't figure out how to do it, and when I called yahoo they said there would be a charge for this tech help. I said no, I won't pay to have someone tell me where to click on the page just because they don't make it obvious.

Anyway, can someone here walk me through it?

1. Try clicking on "I forgot my password" if there is a place like that.

I forgot mine years ago and they emailed me mine to another email address, Pretty secure, right ?

3. Open your email. Click on the icon next to your name in the upper right hand corner.

Click on "help". Choose "change or reset your password".

Although that doesn't seem to do anything for me.

What I wound up doing was logging out, and then when logging back in asked for help. They sent a verifying text to my cell phone, which I then typed in and was immediately sent to a page to do a new password.

I'm good now. Thanks again for the help.

6. I would like to know

How to remove my real birthday from my Yahoo account. Or change it to my internet birthday.

Had it 20+ years, before I knew better.

7. I just clicked my way through things

and when I got to the part about changing a wrong birthday, Yahoo won't do that. It says that for security reasons you can't change your birthdate. You'd have to open a new account to do so.

That sucks.

Recently on FB I deleted my birthday information.
