Dell computer running windows 10 no sound

all of a sudden this morning my grandsons laptop has no sound. Ran trouble shooter and get this message. "Windows audio and windows endpoint builder services must be running for audio to work correctly. At least one of these services isn't running."
No method to correct this problem mentioned. Can someone here help me? Thank you.

power cycle.

1.Press Windows key + R then type services.msc and hit Enter to open Windows services list. 3.Make sure their Startup Type is set to Automatic and the services are Running, either way, restart all of them once again.

power cycle again.

I tried reinstalling the driver, but now the computer won't recognize the audio device. Did Microsoft mess up a Windows update?

Maybe 80 or so.

If this just started happening you may have to remove some updates.

Best bet is to call Microsoft support and ask. If any of their updates is causing a problem, this is the fastest way to find out which update(s) need(s) to be removed.
