Best modem router combo with wi-fi for Xfinity?

Tired of paying rent. Current internet service is 250 Mbps. Just Mrs. Auggie and me. Two Apple TVs (not 4k), two PC's, two iPhones. Phone jack not needed.

Suggestions? Many, many thanks.

I’m trying to shave down that monthly bill. I have a landline added in there, however. I’d drop it but my husband refuses to do so. I see combo advertised at Best Buy but I’m still not sure what direction to take.

Nothing better than that for the pros and cons for a specific product!

I have a netgear router and motorola modem that was recommended a couple of years ago and they have been fine. The models I have are already replaced with newer models so you should see what is recommended now. I bought mine from Amazon, though, once I decided what I wanted.

Motorola MG7540, Wi-Fi Gigabit Router, 686 Mbps Maximum DOCSIS 3.0.

$129.00 on Amazon. In one year it will pay for itself.

It's the leading contender. Still shopping ...

Not the cheapest but the best IMHO. If you have any Wifi sea spot-you can add more of them easily. Comcast is my ISP. Working great together.

I'm using a Motorola MB7220 8x4 modem, coupled with a Medialink AC1200 wireless router (available on Amazon). The setup for both was pretty easy, and they've been working well so far. However, the speed of my service is less than 100 Mbps. For your speed, I think you will need at least a 16x4 modem, such as the Motorola MB7420.

The new equipment will pay for itself even sooner since Comcast/Xfinity just raised their modem rental rates again!

It probably will be, but most providers usually have a list of compatible modems/routers.
