Has anyone gotten crashes on boot after installing KB4507453 on Windows 10 pro?
I kept getting some page fault error message on boot (0x00000050), unplugged all external drives and peripherals, still got the crash at boot, then did a system restore and paused the updates for now. I suspect Avast might be causing this and uninstalled it, what else could it be if not Avast? also ran memtest with no errors
here's what found I in the dump file

(949 posts)A few threads suggest video drivers plus this update may be the culprit. If you can get to safe mode, I would suggest uninstalling this update and your video card drivers. Then reboot and install the update again, reboot, then reinstall your video card drivers.
Otherwise, one person said a reinstall of windows solved it.
Posting the dump files o answers.microsoft.com may also get you some help.
Hope that helps!

(949 posts)The crash may be because the update was installed after the drivers.
Try removing both, then installing the update, then the video drivers. It may work.
Don't forget to yell a lot, though. That seems to help.
